Mommy Treats Sampler Review

I’ve been looking for the perfect Momma treat and it’s a good thing that bakeshops for moms are participating in parenting events to give us a taste of their products.

Last Sept. 1, La Leche leader and Lactation Counselor, Abbie Yabot invited me in the Culminating Event of the Breastfeeding On The Go 2018 Exhibit.

One of the giveaway in the loot bag (which is so beautiful by the way) is the Mommy Treats Sampler Box which consists of 1 muffin bite, 1 cookie and one brownie.

HOW WAS IT?

🌈BROWNIE — It’s firm, chewy but kinda bland. This is perfect for pregnant women so that their sugar level is maintained. It’s big enough for an adult and a kid to share. It just doesn’t smell like brownies maybe because of the galactogogues and milk support ingredients.

🌈MUFFIN BITE — I didn’t like the smell but it tasted like banana bread with oats, which I really loved. The size was literally a bite and I loved the firm top and soft inside of the muffin. Perfect for kids and moms like me who loves softies.

🌈COOKIE — The cookie had a chocolate chip. Just one. It was dry and bland for me, as if I ate a polvoron disguised as a cookie. No trace of sweetness and it’s not chewy. Doesn’t smell good, also. It honestly disappointed me because I love cookies, I’m a cookie person and I’ve been always excited to try cookies from different stores.

There is a note in the box saying that it has the weird aftertaste because of galactogogues and it’s normal. Please read everything including the notes inside the box. I don’t have a photo of it because Tobe, my son, ripped it in two 😦

Ps: photos were taken in the bus on the way home just hours after the event hihi. You can see which one is my favorite!
